 Bio 

Sheena Coleman is one of God's flaming torches of fire proclaiming the Truth of God's Word for several decades having accepted Jesus at the age of 10 (From Sunday School Teacher and Youth Choir Musician as a teen, Youth Director, Musician, and Intercessor, establishing various prayer groups as a young adult, to Ordained Pastor, Pastor, Founder, President, and Chaplain,  Coordinator, and Associate Minister).

Divinely inspired to transcend traditional yokes, she leads and encourages women to make full use of their gifts in the body of Christ. She has a persistent pioneering spirit where God has used her mightily in establishing women's prayer and Bible study groups, mentoring, providing counsel and comfort, facilitating retreats and ministering at numerous retreats, conferences, and local assemblies throughout the Chicago Metropolitan area, nationally, and recently internationally. For the latter, she has ministered in Ghana and Kenya on the continent of Africa and in Haiti.  She has a passion for the nations.   Join the missions conversation here. See her global missions website and God's Heart for Nations for an online Bible study of the word of God on Missions..  She is the former Coordinator for International Missions at Victory Cathedral Worship Center of Bolingbrook, IL.   And, she worked with BOSGlobal Ministries providing leadership for their international ministry.    She currently serves as Co-Coordinator for Global Mission for Christ Ministries at Main Baptist Church.   In addition, she led the movement in Prayer and Leadership Breakfasts in the western suburbs of Chicago. Then moved on to conduct Women Conferences locally and through out the country.

She is the Founder and President of New Abundant & Everlasting Life Ministries, a 501 c 3 non-for- profit organization whose focus is evangelism and family enrichment. For more than four years, she produced and broadcast a  radio program titled, Perfected Prayer and Praise and Prophetic Intercession where both aired in her hometown and on several stations in Louisiana and Arkansas. She is a recipient of several awards and honorable mentions in Ministerial Leadership including the Virtuous Woman's Award and has hosted the Women Destined to Win Conferences for seven years in Illinois and three years in her hometown in Louisiana. She provided a platform for women to actively use their gifting and talents for the kingdom during a time when it was extremely difficult for women called of God to be in ministry .

She recently entered the Doctorate of Ministry in Women, Theology, and Leadership Program at Northern Seminary.  She is over halfway done. Her continued thirst for knowledge and understanding of God was an inspiration to complete a Masters of Arts in Christian Ministry from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Lombard, IL in 2003.  To accomplish this, she took an early retirement in 1999, after being employed for over twenty-nine years at the Department of Energy where she managed a budget of over $1 billion dollars.  She also earned a Master of Business Administration from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL (1990); and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Southern University of Baton Rouge, LA (1970), a Historically Black College and University (HBCU). She also worked several years, after retirement, as a Substitute Teacher in  District 204 in a western suburb of Chicago.  She also worked and trained as a Chaplain at one of the Chicagoland major trauma hospitals as part of Clincial Pastoral Education.

She has a deep burden for setting the captives free for those that are physically incarcerated to mentally and financially incarcerated. God uses her mightily in that regard. She also has a passion to strongly advocate for early intervention for special needs children as well as "To Make Christ Known Via The Internet" through assisting churches and ministries with website development. Several years ago she launched an advocacy ministry on autism awareness where she goes into churches (primarily African American churches) giving presentations on autism awareness. She also served annually for several years as a panelist at Elmhurst College to master level students addressing the perspective of grandparents and parents raising children on the autism spectrum disorder.  In addition, she  completed a two-year Illinois gubernatorial appointment to the state's Interagency Advisory Council on Early Intervention.  She served for several years as a member of the Missions Leadership Network Leadership Executive Team in the western suburbs of IL. And, was involved with Perspectives on the World Christian Movement (a training course for missions-minded persons). She has served as Prayer Coordinator for several years.   She is also a Free Lance Writer for various publications and has written curriculums for church school and Vacation Bible School to name a few.  

She has been affiliated with several local and national ministries. They include ministering at events for Christian Women Outreach Ministries, God First Ministries with Dr. Mildred C. Harris, Evangelist Bernadine B. McGhee of Free Spirit, Pastor Rosa Bulford of New Heart International Worship Center, the late Pastor Shirley Carnes of Michigan City, IN, Pastor Barbara Wilson of Hazel Crest, IL to name a few. She has served on several Boards including the Illinois Division of FamilyLife  - a division of Campus Crusade for Christ, Christian Women Outreach Ministries of Chicago, the Lauren Murray Worship Art Ministries Inc., and the Argonne National Laboratory Credit Union. Her volunteer services have also included providing Chapel services for seniors at the Ecumenical Adult Care of Naperville. In addition, she served as a certified facilitator for Covey's Seven Habits of Highly Effective People and is a former member of Toastmasters International having held several leadership posts.

She coordinated and provided assistance to conferences and ministered the Word of God as workshop speaker for the Christian Women Outreach Ministries of Chicago . She served on the planning committee and as one of the workshop speakers for God First Ministries Signature of Prolific Women Conference where Dr. Mildren Harris is the Founder.  With a love for the performing arts to be used as a means to worship God, she assisted in establishing the Lauren Murray Worship Art Ministries Inc. and provided mentoring for their first conference.

She is a netrepreneur involving several Internet businesses including web design and hosting, telecommunications services and products to web malls including health care products primarily for lowering cholersterol levels, and publications. She has been married for over fifty two years to Don Coleman. She and her husband, both ordained pastors,  pioneered and pastored a church in Naperville for several years. They are Itinerant Pastors, ready to serve the Lord where ever He calls.  They currently serve as Associate Ministers at Main Baptist Church of Aurora, IL. She ministers on various projects specifically involving children camp & choir, providing ministerial support at Tuesday Feed Thy Neighbor, supports the prayer ministry thru active participation, evangelistic efforts for Vacation Bible School. She was later appointed and currently serves as Pastor of Vacation Bible.  She has served as an Abundant Life Facilitator to two groups of people. 

She is the proud mother and grandmother of two adult children and three grandchildren, respectively.
